Located at 91 Southside Drive in Hillarys, the Aquarium of Western Australia (AQWA) is a landmark facility upgrade designed to enhance operational efficiency, safety, and sustainability. The project involved modernising key building systems to support the facility’s day-to-day operations and visitor experience.
Decobu was engaged to deliver comprehensive building services design across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and fire systems (MEPF). The design focused on energy efficiency, occupant comfort, and seamless integration with existing infrastructure.
Working closely with Tuan Sing Holdings Limited and the project team, Decobu tailored engineering solutions to optimise performance, support operational needs, and ensure long-term maintainability. The result is a revitalised, high-performing facility that combines functionality, safety, and efficiency while delivering sustainable outcomes.
